A strong foundation in values and expertise often defines success in real estate, and few examples illustrate that better than the story of Stefano Pasquarelli, son of respected brand builder and commercial real estate and marketing consultant Alfio Pasquarelli.
From 2016 to 2020, Stefano worked directly alongside his father, learning firsthand the intricacies of the business. What began as a mentorship quickly evolved into a professional partnership, shaping his understanding of business, integrity, and what it means to build something meaningful.
That early experience became the foundation for Stefano’s career. In 2020, he joined Redberry Restaurants, one of Canada’s fastest-growing multi-brand restaurant companies, as a Real Estate Manager. Over the past five years, he has played a key role in developing 75 Burger King locations across the country, managed and grown brands like Pizza Hut, and led the expansion of Taco Bell across the country. More recently he has been instrumental in developing the Jersey Mike’s brand in Canada. It’s been a fast-paced journey — but one deeply rooted in the lessons he learned from his father.
Moving from a family-run operation to a large corporate organization like Redberry was a shift in scale, but not in values. Throughout his career, Stefano has continued to apply the lessons learned from his father. The principles he learned early on — integrity, service, and discipline — have been the foundation for his work in corporate real estate.
According to Stefano, one of the most valuable lessons from his father was the importance of integrity. Regardless of how complex a deal may be, he learned to prioritize doing the right thing for clients, partners, and the broader community. His father often emphasized that business is not simply transactional — it’s about being of service and fostering trust.
Discipline and consistency were also key takeaways. Alfio frequently reminded his son that success in real estate comes not from bursts of effort, but from showing up every day with focus and determination.
Today, his work at Redberry involves managing development across multiple regions and brands — from site selection and lease negotiation to broker coordination and project execution. Despite the larger scope, the principles of integrity and quality remain at the core of his approach.
Over time, Stefano’s perspective on growth has evolved. While expansion often emphasizes speed, he believes that quality and strategic alignment are far more important. Every location should be positioned for long-term success, reflecting both the brand’s standards and the expectations of the communities it serves.
Now, he focuses on finding and developing high-performing locations, sites that are strategically positioned, optimized for traffic and visibility, and designed for long-term success. Whether it’s quick service or another retail category, great real estate always comes down to the same fundamentals: high traffic, strong co-tenants, easy access, and the right demographics.
Growth done right isn’t about how fast you move; it’s about how well you move. Every location represents not just a new business, but a reflection of the brand and the people behind it.
For Stefano, real estate is about more than bricks and mortar. It’s about people, relationships, and the legacy of trust built through consistent, principled work — a philosophy that continues to reflect the influence of his father’s leadership and example.
